What it does
Silent by design
Hooks produce zero stdout. No additionalContext, no conversation injection. All feedback lives on the statusline and on-demand detail card.
Rhythm coach
Error avalanche alerts, file grinding detection, session fatigue warnings. Your buddy watches your coding patterns and surfaces signals when they matter.
XP and leveling
20 levels with gated feature unlocks. Gain XP from commits, tool usage, streaks, and daily interactions. Hatch at Lv.1, evolve at Lv.15, prestige at Lv.20.
Deterministic generation
SHA-256 based species, rarity, and stats derived from your username. Same user always gets the same pet. Plus a 1% shiny chance.
Native statusline
Project folder, git branch, context window usage, buddy avatar, mood, and coach signals — always visible in Claude Code. Three presence modes: quiet, focus (default), and lively.
Terminal detail card
On-demand pet status, art, stats, and recent activity via /buddy. The companion to the always-on statusline.

Evolution at Lv.15
Evolution is automatic at Lv.15, determined by your highest stat. At Lv.20, prestige resets your level with permanent bonuses.
